Why the Study System Works

Understand the goals and science behind the system—and how to use it across all doctrinal classes, based on where you are in law school and what you need to improve.

MODULE 2:

Turn Information Into Understanding

Learn how to process and manage the enormous amount of information law school throws at you using metacognition and an approach tailored to how you think and learn.

MODULE 3:

The Nine Step System

Learn Lisa’s proven step-by-step system for organizing, learning, and writing every topic in every class on your exams.

You’ll learn how the study skills you may have been taught individually—deconstructing rules, reading and briefing cases, organizing topics, outlining, preparing for exams, practicing exam writing, applying and distinguishing cases, and assessing your performance—work together as one system.

You’ll also learn the two strategies Lisa’s research identified as especially powerful for improving exam performance.

MODULE 4:

Schedule Every Step Into Every Week

Learn how to build every step of the system (for each class) into your weekly schedule so you can stay on top of your coursework, prepare for exams throughout the semester, and have time to live your life outside of law school.
